It's Been Way Too Long

I apologize up front right now. I've been a bit MIA lately on the blog, and in some ways good and others bad. Sometimes we go gung-ho about something that excites us only to realize we can't sustain ourselves going at that speed for a long duration. 


In other words...I lost steam.


Anyway, I'm here...I'm back...and I have some Spiritual decluttering I need to do. And to be honest, it's not going to be easy.



"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way of the everlasting. ~Psalm 139:23-24"


The song, Search My Heart by Hillsong United (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57wrjMm72CU) is one that has kind of tripped a need and desire to start removing what is not needed in my heart in order to minimize my life.


I've never prayed the prayer above before, and to be honest...I'm a bit afraid to do so. But, I know I need to. I don't know what the result will be, but there are quite a few songs that talk about searching our hearts and leading us to where God wants us to be led. And, well...I'm ready for that. 


So, with that...here I go...


Lord, search my heart and help me clear out what should no longer remain. Fill my heart with your love and your desires for my life. Lead me, Lord Jesus. Lead me to where you want me to follow.
