The Final Countdown

8 days and counting. That's the amount of time left before I close on my new home. The stress of the whole process has been utterly unbelievable and I'm so ready for it to be over. But I am excited none the less.

You'd think that with all of my work on trying to become organized and decluttered that this whole moving process would be easy. Wrong! I'm barely packed! I haven't thrown away very much and I can't understand where it all keeps coming from.

I will say this, that my efforts to declutter PRIOR to this is saving me time and effort. It used to take days to get all of my books packed, but now it only took an hour. Today's game plan is to finish packing my living room except for the things I'll be needing. Next will be packing up linens, then on to the kitchen for those items I don't use often (if I'll even keep them).

This is also a great time to make a fresh start. If you seen things that need to be replaced or are just on their last leg, make a list and toss the old now. Use the list to purchase new once you are in your new home. Not before. You want to move as little as possible.

Now, I'm off to do some packing! Enjoy your day!
