Spring has Sprung

It is that time of year...the sun is shining longer. The tulips, daffodils, and crocus have begun to bare their beautiful faces to the world once again!

It also means that it is time to birth new and more important goals for the spring:

  • Upping the amount of workout time
  • Increasing amount of protein
  • Sticking to the real carb diet
  • Getting the house in order
  • Getting the yard in order
First things first, I had another cancer scare since my last post. Two of them to be exact. One came back as a benign mole and the other a freckle.  All in all, it was good that they didn't turn out to be more than that.

I've lost 50 lbs in 2 years, 25 of that since November. (Can I get a woot woot?) I feel better, I have more energy, and I have conquered the evil elliptical machine. If you live in the indy area and are interested in The Onion Factory, please go to www.onioncamp.com

So, that takes care of the first three items on my list. The second two need a little more help. I'll be recruiting my mom again to help me do the deep digging to weed my flower beds. Then, it will be bringing in spring/early summer flowers to fill my flower beds.

For the house, a little more work is needed. I need to replace the faucets in the master bath, as well as the innards of the toilet. Then the living room rugs need scrubbed and cleaned. And then I think I'll find a nice area rug to cover Sampson's stains.

I have the possibility of hosting an intern in my home this summer. I'm praying about it. It would be good for both of us. But this loner is unsure of giving up her free space. We'll be praying over this for the next week.

Until then, happy spring cleaning!!!!
